How a migrating giraffe tells a brand story

Getting the word out about your brand is sometimes as simple as a fun little game you assign to your interns.

I was visiting my friend Sameer Halai at Jirav who shared with me this fun game. You see, every quarter they get new interns, and one of their jobs is to move this stuffed giraffe around, once a week.

Jirav is located in a WeWork office in San Francisco. WeWork is a co-working space that is home to hundreds of companies in the sames shared office building. There are so many opportunities to make a connection with the immediate community, and the giraffe is a fun way to do it. You see, the giraffe wears a Jirav team shirt. So now, everyone at the WeWork office space knows this little 5 person, sorry, 6 person, including the giraffe, company called Jirav. While the game was set up to make life fun for the interns and branding wasn’t really part of the thinking at all, it did have a positive effect on their brand.
